Episode 12: Finding happiness with Dr. Beau Nelson

Dr. Beau Nelson, Director of Clinical Services at the Florida House Experience, shares the go-to techniques that he has used to help people manage stress and find happiness over his more than two-decade career in therapy. In this video, Dr. Nelson raises the point that if we constantly live in the most difficult part of our lives, and with our most difficult memories, it only stands to reason that our mood would follow and reflect this state of mind. Most people think they need to become someone else to be happy. Instead, Dr. Nelson explains that we don't need to become a different version of ourselves, we simply need to find new patterns and new ways of doing things to reduce stress and live happier, more fulfilling lives.

We often have patterns and behaviors that worked at one time in our lives that no longer work for us. When this happens, we need to find new patterns and behaviors in our lives.
